The interior mountain ranges of British Columbia are not only some of the most scenic areas in all of North America, but they are also home to some of the finest spring black bear hunting found anywhere. For the hunter who wants to pursue black bears by spot and stalk (rather than bait or hounds) and/or cannot afford the cost of a coastal black bear hunt this is an ideal compromise. These bears are slightly bigger on the average than your usual interior bears and they have an exceptional 30% or better color phase that includes blonde, cinnamon, and brown as well as the common black color. These hunts are done by glassing along the edge of lakes in the grass flats, along logging roads, and then later in the spring glassing wild onion patches in areas accessed by horseback. We are able to customize this hunt to fit the physical needs of almost any hunter. Everyone stays at a main lodge facility which is very comfortable and the guide staff is experienced and works hard for their clients. All packages are inclusive of one bear harvested, a second bear is available for a $1000 trophy fee. We run our spring hunts between April 27th and June 15th each year with no more than four to six hunters each week. Call early to reserve your dates.
