The best hunting for the Canadian moose sub-species is northern British Columbia. This is an exceptional option for hunters who still want a wall hanger of a bull moose but not the price of the Yukon or NWT hunts. We hunt exclusively from horseback in some of the most beautiful country in all the world – and bring home some whopper bull moose. The liberal season allows us to hunt these moose when they are most vulnerable – late August when they are out in the open and then again in late September and early October during the peak of the rut. It is not uncommon to see 20-30 bulls during the course of a seven to ten day moose hunt and the harvest average is a solid 50” with bulls ranging from 45” to 55” taken normally – our largest bull from last season was a 58” monster bull with lots of points and character. These moose hunts are also very easily combined with an elk or mountain goat hunt. Over the last ten years the success rate on moose has been better than 93% with over 90% of the combination hunters taking multiple species.
