At this time Colorado boasts the largest population of elk in North America at an estimated 300,000+ animals. Elk tags are generally very easy to get here with many units available over the counter. While there are some extremely difficult units to draw tags for we have private properties in these areas that get guaranteed elk licenses for our clients. We hunt exclusively on private lands and our long term success rate in Colorado is very high. We offer archery & muzzleloader elk hunts in September and rifle elk hunts in October and November. Almost all of our elk hunting is offered in the western half of the state and we have an elk hunt to fit almost any budget. |

British Columbia is truly the most phenomenal wilderness elk hunting experience in all of North America. Northern B.C. boasts the highest elk populations and densities in North America. We have excellent outfitters in both areas that offer a truly exceptional hunting adventure. Our success rate in B.C. over the last decade has been over 94% on six point bulls and combination hunts with moose and mountain goats are easily arranged. Liberal hunting seasons allow us to hunt elk from August 15 through October 31 in the northern Rocky Mountains. Check out this page for some information on the hunting experience of a lifetime. |

Montana is the state where exceptional elk populations meet northern trophy quality. In this state we hunt exclusively on private lands with properties that specialize in archery or rifle hunting. All licenses are guaranteed through the outfitter with some guaranteed or 100% archery draw areas & units. It is not uncommon for hunters to take 320-370 class bulls on some of our private ranches and a few bulls closing in on the magical 400” mark have been taken Montana in recent years. Archery hunts are offered through September and early October with rifle hunts in late October through November. Check out some awesome hunts on this page! |

IDAHO
Idaho was once the crown jewel of western elk hunting in famed areas such as the Selway Wilderness. While Idaho’s hunting quality has reduced in recent years due to the introduction of wolves there is still a great hunting experience to be had in this state. We have a very good outfitter in the Selway region that has been in family business for three generations and over sixty years. They specialize in the September high country elk hunts during the rut and then the late season November winter range hunts in the river bottoms. The November hunts are excellent when combined with trophy whitetail hunting during the rut. If you want to experience old school wilderness elk hunting at a reasonable cost check out these hunts. |

New Mexico is one of the most popular elk hunting states out west. With extremely high elk populations along the northern boundary with Colorado and awesome trophy potential in the southwestern region New Mexico has something to offer everyone. In almost every region of the state the elk licenses are extremely hard to draw – however the vast majority of our clients are able to secure landowner permits for the ranches and units where they will be hunting. In the northern region all of our hunting is done on “RANCH ONLY” permits on properties that are closed to the general public for access and all of our hunters are restricted to the private land boundaries. In the southwestern region our clients often have “UNIT WIDE” landowner permits which allow access on both the private lands where the tag was issued as well as the surrounding public lands in that unit. New Mexico hunts do not come without cost – landowner permits are often available for between $2,500 and $8,000 depending on the unit and weapon/season and the guided hunts are normally between $4,500 and $7,500 depending on the outfitter and the length of the season and hunt. Check out this page for more information on hunting in New Mexico. |

Arguably Utah is the hottest state in the west right now for trophy elk hunting. Many of the units are managed for extreme trophy quality and tags are hard to draw – some people go a lifetime and never draw one of the elite tags in this state. We do however have outfitters that lease exclusive CWMU properties – this means they get guaranteed landowner permits and a special 60 day season from early September through the peak of the rut and ending in late October, some properties even have seasons that last into early to mid November. The southern units in Utah routinely produce 375” to 400” B&C bulls and every year 400”+ class bulls are killed including the new world record non-typical killed in 2008 that gross scored over 500” B&C. We only book our clients on these private ranches with guaranteed licenses. Depending on the location of the ranch (unit) and the trophy quality of the bulls harvested on that ranch the cost of our Utah elk hunts will range greatly from $7,500 to $24,000 – but we primarily hunt during the peak of the rut with expert guides and outfitters. NEVADA
Nevada is one state that has some phenomenal trophy quality in the elk. Unfortunately it is extremely hard to draw a tag with most people waiting 15-20 years or more as residents just to go hunting once in their lifetime. Non-residents face even tougher draw odds. We do however have access to the limited number of landowner elk permits that are available in this state. Our guides work with the landowners to buy the tags at the going market value and these tags are valid on the entire hunting unit – both private and public lands. Our guides specialize in scouting, locating, and then taking our clients after 350 to 400 B&C class bulls. Cost is extremely expensive with landowner tags selling for $9,000 to $13,000 depending on the unit where they are valid PLUS the cost of the hunt which will range from $5,000 to $9,000 depending on the number of days being hunted and the season. We offer hunts in August-September for archery hunters, October for muzzleloader, and November hunts for rifle hunters. Please call our office at 1-800-303-1304 for more information on buying a landowner tag to hunt elk in Nevada for the coming elk season. |
