Patagonia Free Range Red Deer Hunts

Over the last near decade our hunting packages have evolved dramatically in the Patagonia region of Argentina. We offer free range red stag hunts on six different properties that range in size from 20,000 acres to 200,000 acres in size and on a total of over 700,000 acres of privately owned and managed lands. The Patagonia region is well known as the crown jewel of the free range deer hunting in the world. The open rolling hills in the foothills of the Andes Mountains are absolutely loaded with red deer and during the month of March the stags come down from the high country for the rut which runs from early March through most of April. While some of the stags return to the high country to winter in the rugged Andes Mountains many stay in the foothills where we hunt them on the winter range in May & June - and it is not uncommon to see bachelor groups of 10-20 stags together and as many as 70 stags in a bachelor herd have been observed in recent years. All of our ranches have excellent lodging & meals included in our hunting packages, knowledgeable guides, and expert trophy care for every client.

Patagonia Special Estate Hunts

We have always had this hunt available but in recent times it has become more popular as hunters compare Argentina to New Zealand. We have an enclosure that is approximately 20,000 acres located in the center of one of our most popular free range properties. This enclosure is home to a tremendous population of red deer and some phenomenal red stags that vary in size from 300 SCI to 550 SCI and hunters are able to hunt for trophy deer and pay for them on a sliding trophy fee scale (provided on request) which is very reasonable when compared to most New Zealand outfitters.
