One of the best all around operations we have ever hunted with, in terms of organization, guide staff, and quality hunting is located in NW Colorado. Their partnership with two main private landowners to create a massive Ranching for Wildlife block of land in a management program is the key to their success. The landowners put a great deal of money into habitat improvements which is critical because of the percentage of late season winter range on these properties. Following the harsh winters of 1991-92 which hurt mule deer populations all across the west, this area has been on the increase with tremendous numbers of mule deer and good land management provides for a true trophy hunting opportunity. We offer the bulk or our hunts between late October and mid December through the entire pre-rut and peak rut time periods.
