Today’s premier sheep hunting destination for trophy rams is the Yukon. We have access to two distinctly different sheep areas but both have one thing in common – a high rate of success on rams due to an extremely high population of sheep. According to a biologist in Whitehorse, YT the 2009, 2010, and 2011 sheep seasons will be the best in a long time due to a high lamb/ewe ratio following the harsh winters in 1999 and 2000. There will be a tremendous number of 9 to 10 year old rams coming of age in addition to the already awesome number of older rams already on the mountain. Here are the two areas where we offer hunts in the Yukon.

This area is arguably the best trophy dall ram area in all of North America. They have had seasons where they averaged at or near 40” rams and they have taken a number of B&C record book rams over the years. The terrain is also one of the most diverse in that we have ridden horses to the rams in some areas, and hiked hard to find rams in others. The diverse terrain means we can offer a sheep hunt to almost anyone who truly wants to work hard and within their limitations to get a trophy dall sheep. This is however THE PREMIER destination for hunters wishing to hunt for a RECORD BOOK dall ram.

This area has a phenomenal sheep population and has always had a high rate of success. This is a huge exclusive concession that offers us the ability to customize a hunt to fit our client’s needs. We have the physically demanding horseback/backpack camps and then we even have a couple of camps where we can ride up to almost parallel with the sheep in some places. By working with us we can customize a sheep hunt to fit your needs personally and these camps have always been one of our top producers for rams. This area does not produce the same trophy quality rams that the Southwest Camps produce it does offer hunters easier terrain and an extremely high rate of success.
