This is a hunt that is not for everyone but it is perfect for some! This hunt requires flexibility in schedule – to be able to fly to Alaska with a week’s notice to take advantage of perfect weather conditions when the brown bears are digging out of the snowy dens. Hunters have to also be in great condition and able to ride snowmobiles 30 to 50 miles a day and that is an adventure in itself. Plus be able to do some waking in snowshoes and work hard for a big brown bear. But the rewards are fantastic and the bear hides in the early spring are without a doubt the finest possible.

These are our most commonly booked hunts for brown bears. This is a fantastic compromise for hunters who want to take a big bruin without the Peninsula price tag. The majority of these hunts are done out of a nice lodge & cabins facility at the base of operations. Hunters and guides take jet boats out from the lodge and access different rivers and streams to glass for bears on the salmon spawning beds. This is one of the largest concentrations of salmon in the world and the bears converge on the high protein food source to fatten up for winter. The new seasons allow us to hunt the bears earlier in the spring when they are more congregated on the salmon food source!
