In the region south of Yellowstone near the Teton Mountains is the most scenic spring black bear hunting area in the west. Our hunters all stay in nice cabins and hunt over bait sites – sometimes accessed by horseback. This is not an easy to access black bear hunt and hunters should be in better than average shape and have a sense of adventure. There are a lot of bears here and a high percentage of them are color phase including cinnamon, blonde, and brown. Several bait sites are established and maintained well before hunters show up and started when there is still snow on the ground. The main guide is very enthusiastic about his bear hunting and does a great job of putting our clients on big bears. All packages include pre-baited sites, lodging, guide services, and trophy care. This is a hunt that favors rifle hunters more than archery – consider this when looking at this hunt.
